The Best Things to “Deux” In New Orleans

Welcome to DeuxNola

Within these pages you’ll find the best of New Orleans. This non-commercial site hosts a broad collection of things to “Deux” in the Crescent City. We feature the large museums such the New Orleans Museum of Art and the National World War II Museum, as well as smaller and just as fascinating smaller spots such as Le Musée de f.p.c. (Free People of Color) or the Backstreet Cultural Museum (New Orleans’s Black Indians). We spotlight the city’s wide array of restaurants from the classic names with over 100 years of history (Antoine’s and Commander’s Palace) to the “new” classics ( Brennan’s or Brigtsen’s), to the spots operated by the next generation of creatives (Turkey and the Wolf, Daka NOLA, or Addis). Shopping is literally found at every corner in the Crescent City with numerous art galleries in the Warehouse District as well as miles of shopping along Magazine Street. And don’t forget music – it is everywhere in New Orleans. From Frenchmen’s Street to smaller venues in the city’s hotels and clubs. Finally, check out our Resources page for practical tips to navigate the Crescent City. There’s always much to see and “Deux” in New Orleans. We hope you will find your favorites.

Doreen On Royal Street

Live Jazz on Royal on Friday – Sunday 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
It doesn’t get any better than this. Doreen’s music is infectious – you’ll be dancing, tapping, and smiling as soon as you’re within earshot of her music. Doreen has played with orchestras and jazz greats but she chooses to grace the streets of the French Quarter with her talents and those of her band. See our page for more!
