Update: The original location restaurant is expected to re-open in 2024. A new location in downtown New Orleans is expected to begin operations late summer of 2024!  LONG waits will hopefully be a thing of the past!

Our Take: This famous Tremé restaurant suffered a fire in April of 2023 and has not reopened. Willie Mae’s was famous for fried chicken and was the beneficiary of community outreach when it was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina.
