Website Description: The Music Box Village is a place where play, imagination, experimentation, collaboration, community and hard work come together as a whimsical village of artist-made interactive “musical houses.” Each installation is inspired by the unique musical and architectural culture of our home city of New Orleans, and represents a collaborative process between artists based here and abroad.

Our Story
Our Take: Open on a seasonal basis, Music Box Village is a place where music meets architecture meet technology. Sixteen installations of various shapes and sizes (see photos) create a space/music/sound continuum. The Village is the product of New Orleans Airlift, a non-profit that funds this large outdoor venue. See Music Box Village’s calendar for upcoming performances.
