Our Take: The Southern Food & Beverage Museum, which is part of the National Food & Beverage Foundation, offers several avenues to explore the culinary and hospitality arts of Louisiana and the South. First, the Museum hosts a large exhibition area filled with memorabilia devoted to cooking and dining. Second, the Museum offers cooking classes on Mondays and Fridays ($115 per person) at the Deelightful Roux School of Cooking located within the museum. Thirdly Foundation hosts the Museum of the American Cocktail. As the Foundation writes on their website, ” the cocktail has influenced art, film, music, politics, and theater around the world. The Museum…celebrates that singular cultural icon and develops its craft, field, and market through exhibits, programming, and a range of media.”
