Our Take: With all the noise about New Orleans restaurants, you don’t hear much about Atchafalaya, and that’s a shame. One of the few dining spots that stays true to New Orleans’s architecture (a true Creole Cottage) Atchafalaya is as homey on the inside as it is on the outside. The dinner menu is somewhat limited (6 entrees) but it is brunch where this spot shows its chops. Crispy Oyster Salad, Duck Hash, Crab Cake Benedict are just a few choices on the Brunch menu. Add live music, an extensive cocktail menu, and even a kid’s menu and Atchafalaya is the whole Nola package.
