Our Take: Bamboula’s prides itself on its promotion of local bands and musicians. As their website says, “Live Music Plays everyday from open ’til close.” Close is 12am, 2am on Firday and Saturday. Fyi, the Bamboula is an African drum whose history in the U.S. dates back to the introduction of slavery in the 1700s. The bamboula is also a dance that was performed with the drum.
