Our Take: Not many Nola spots (especially in the Quarter) get thumbs up from locals for vibes, food, and drinks – but that’s not the case for Cane & Table. For example, the Hurricane cocktail offered throughout the Quarter is usually made from rum and lots of sugary syrups. At Cane & Table, the Hurricane is re-imagened with a house made fruit concentrate, fresh citrus, and rum. Just as imaginative is the Smooth Operator based on a vodka with notes of pineapple and banana. Seasonal entrees, supervised by Chef Alfredo Nogueira, reflect his Cuban heritage. Weekend brunch rounds out a full palate at this French Quarter favorite.
