Website Description: Over 170 years old, one mile wide and three miles long comprising a total of 1,300 acres, New Orleans City Park is one of the largest urban Parks in the country. It is located in the heart of the city and is the largest recreational area for the entire region. City Park is home to the largest collection of mature live oaks in the world, with some trees over 800 years old.

Our Take: The real question is what isn’t in City Park. Besides being next to the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Lousiana Childrens Museum, City Park offers a Botanical Garden, the Train Garden, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, boat rentals, bike rentals, and more including lots of just green space for enjoying the outdoors. The Park is also home to Cafe Du Monde, Acorn Cafe, Cafe Noma, and others. If you have a child or just want to act like one, City Park is the place to get outdoors and enjoy!
