Lil’ Dizzy’s Cafe is the only Baquet-owned restaurant still going, and it is now owned and operated by Wayne, Jr and his wife Arkesha. They are making the Creole-Soul tradition proud.

Our Take: It doesn’t get more New Orleans than this lunch only spot in Tremé. Served in styrofoam containers, Lil Dizzy’s serves up soul, southern, and creole dishes to an eager lunch crowd. Smothered okra with fried chicken, stuffed peppers, po-boys, seafood platters are just a few things on the menu. Tourists with luggage and locals make this a busy spot. Get to-go if you can to avoid waiting for a table. For a glimpse of a signature dish recipe, see this clip from 4WWL TV.
