Website Description: Mr. B’s is one of the brightest stars in the New Orleans restaurant scene. Nestled in the heart of the French Quarter, Mr. B’s Bistro is located at the corner of Royal and Iberville Streets. Cindy Brennan and her famous restaurant family opened Mr. B’s in 1979 and it has become a true French quarter fixture famous for deft cooking of regional specialties in a casual bistro setting.
Our Take: Consistently good food for 40 years is the mark of a great restaurant. Managed by Cindy Brennan, Mr. B’s Bistro is one of the restaurants in the Quarter that can be relied upon for New Orleans contemporary cuisine. Bbq’d Shrimp, Pasta Jambalaya, a Wood Grilled Fish with pecan popcorn rice attest to the local roots of this menu. Gumbo’s are also outstanding. A Sunday Jazz Brunch is also available. Reservations are recommended but not required. Discounted parking is available.
