Our Take: A partnership between the Louisiana State Museum and the Park Service, the New Orleans Jazz Museum is a repository of history as well as a venue for live jazz. Housed in what once was the U.S. Mint, the Museum hosts hundreds of events in its state-of-the art auditorium. Weekday concerts are frequent and the central location of the Museum makes this a great break from touring the Quarter.
