Our Take: As the name implies, Plates is based on a small plate format with a diverse range of items from snacks and cold plates to hot and large plates. Menus vary based on the seasonal availability. Executive Chef Farrell Harrison (formerly Josephine Estelle) melds French, Spanish, African, and of course Louisiana flavors to create his offerings. Some might call Plates a tapas restaurant but that does disservice to this menu.
