Our Take: Saffron Nola is an unassuming spot on Magazine from the outside. But inside, great Indian food has brought accolades up to the rafters. Saffron was recently names one of the top 38 places to dine by Eater and one of the top 25 spots by the New York Times. While rooted in its Indian core, Saffron adds to the Louisiana library with its version of gumbo. Curried Seafood Gumo combines crab, shrimp, okra, and basmati rice that does honor to its name. A tasting menu is also available that be customized to a partron’s dietary needs.
