Our Take: This museum exceeds all expectations – a reason why it is the most visited attraction in New Orleans. Plan on a full day if possible. Features include a 4D theater with a film narrated by Tom Hanks, exhibits telling the “Road to Tokyo” and the “Road to Berlin” as well as artifacts on stories from the homefront. The Museum is situated near Higgins Boulevard, named after the founder of the boat designer and manufacturer who created the wooden landing craft used during D-Day.
